It Begins in Beautiful Switzerland

Image
Officially in Switzerland with Keane and Sarah :) Attached is the spectacular view I woke up to this morning. We are staying in Leysin, Switzerland in their friend's chalet for the weekend. After finally arriving yesterday to the airport, we drove to the Gruyere Cheese factory and went on a tour where the friendliest cow named Cherry spoke in our ear's about how the cheese is made. It was semi-creepy having a cow describe the process but at least she tried to be funny. Then we headed to the Cailler Chocolate factory for another tour, this one a little more in depth and fancy. Our group was shuffled through the most extensive disney land style exhibit of the history of chocolate. Cailler, Nestle and Kohler are companies that all work together. You see I am off to see my brother and sister in law who I have not seen in a year and a half. They are currently serving as missionaries in Germany, the selfless people that they are. I am flying in (or trying to) and visiting with them for the first weekend. Then it is backpacking time yet again, but just for a week and a little more structered. I won't give away the whole trip in the first post (there has to be a cliff hanger to keep you coming back for more of course).               Earlier I said trying to fly because I am sitting in the Madison Airport currently with an hour delay on my first plane. I sched...
